A 9-storey mid-rise purpose-built rental building with vibrant ground-floor retail.

Our Vision

Our vision for the site is to continue supporting the commercial and retail corridor along Bayview Avenue while introducing a new housing type to the neighbourhood. The proposed building will include rental units,  allowing young residents to move into this neighbourhood while also giving long-time residents the opportunity to downsize and age in place. At this time, Medallion is interested in bringing back a grocery store as the anchor retailer in the new building.

At 9 storeys, this mid-rise development supports the need for more rental housing in the city as well as the desire for more mid-rise buildings.

A total of 156 rental units will be available providing a mix of unit types including one, two and three bedrooms.

Reintegrating Retail

Reintroducing retail at the ground floor of this development will continue to support Bayview’s commercial corridor, stretching from Davisville Avenue to Soudan Avenue. Medallion is interested in having a grocery store return as the anchor tenant.

Diverse Housing Options

This mid-rise development will assist with increasing the diversity of housing options in the neighbourhood. By providing rental units with a mix of one to three bedrooms, this proposal will allow for a broad range of people, including families, to live along Bayview.

Supporting Growth

In response to the demand our City’s growth has put on this area, the City of Toronto and Province of Ontario introduced new growth guidelines for the Midtown neighbourhood. This proposal follows the guidelines set out in both the City’s original and the Province’s revised guidelines.

Growth has also put a demand on the supply of purpose-built rental housing, which is now desperately needed across the City of Toronto. The addition of purpose-built rental units to this area will help alleviate this demand.
